NOVA-T Television and Multimedia Productions, founded in 1982 by the Capuchin Friars from the Italian Province of Piedmont. It participates in the most important European television markets, forming connections with international-scale distributors and producers. In this way NOVA-T's key collaborative period gets underway with the production of ethnographic and current-event documentaries of high-quality. In 2002 NOVA-T production development consolidates into the realization of docu-fictions: projects based on both fictitious and historic moments. "??La partenza" ("The Departure") is an adept example. It recounts the biography of Giuseppe Allamano, the founder of the Missionaries of the Consolata, and stars Flavio Bucci, Angela Goodwin, Franco Giacobini and Arnoldo Foà , "Un bel servizio" ("A Well-Performed Service"); with the Sisters of Charity of Brescia being played by Pamela Villoresi and Silvia Budri, "Una cosa in mente" ("One Thing in Mind") about San Giuseppe Cottolengo. It boasts a phenomenal cast including Massimo Wertmuller as the protagonist, Massimo Bonetti, Claudia Koll, Renato Scarpa and many others.DVD production for the home video market takes off in 2002, with the realizations of the official multimedia works, "Padre Pio Sanctus" and "The Shroud" (2004).
