Erik, Antonio and Pina stories represent three symbolic vision about life, death and alterity. Three real stories which share the strength to fight by working-through their own limitations. Illness and healing, violence and medicine in war areas, infertility and adoption: to open to the outside as the only way of salvation, for themselves and for those around them.
The three characters are alternated in a tangle of feelings and emotions. Erik, Antonio and Pina face their lives without being trapped by fears, leading the viewer into the maze where discover their stories.
The project comes from the idea of discovering an original way of representation the three characteristics’ life stories, marked by extreme challenge and deep his own limitations’ awareness.
Three different biographical experiences, but characterized by a leitmotiv: it is necessary to accept the alterity for saving himself.
The challenge is to build a narrative plot that could deeply engage the viewer, causing him to empathize with three characters lives, through the common aspects, like transplantion, adoption, medical care for foreign fighters.
The viewer will be accompanied through the three stories’ labyrinth and he will be called upon to unravel the Ariadne thread, by which the three characters protagonists will meet, crossing their destinies.
