Lanterna Magica is established in 1983 in Turin: during the first years the Company makes several cartoons working with kids coming from the primary and secondary schools and it produces , for Public Bodies and Companies, shorts and animation spots concerning topics of social interest ( Drinking , smoking, pollution, ⿿ Sviluppo Sostenibile⿝⿦). In 1992 it starts its long production adventure with the feature movie ⿿ The Blue Arrow⿝ that will be shoot at cinemas in 1996 having a big success.After this first feature movie Lanterna makes ⿿ Lucky and Zorba⿝ (1998) ⿿ that, up to now, is the Italian animation movie that has obtained the greatest audience success - ⿿Aida of the trees⿝ (2001) ⿿ ⿿ Totò Sapore and the magical story of the pizza⿝ (2003) becoming one of the most important European animation companies.During the years Lanterna Magica has made TV specials like ⿿Kamillo Cromo⿝ and several TV series like ⿿ Pimpa, new adventures⿝ (1998); ⿿ Marco and Gina⿝ (2001); ⿿ The adventures of Neve & Gliz⿝ (2005); ⿿ Gino the Chicken ⿿ lost in the net⿝ (2006) and the shorts of social interest like ⿿ Let⿿s help them to get free from slavery⿝and ⿿ L⿿alba del giorno prima⿝. At the moment, it is in production the TV series ⿿ MGD Agency⿝ while, in a development phase, the series ⿿ Gattoteppa⿝, ⿿ La Fata coccinella⿝ and the feature movie ⿿ La compagnia degli animali⿝.
