Cartoon Italia is the national association of Italian animation producers. It was founded in the early 1990s to support and promote the industrial and artistic interests of Italian animation nationally and abroad. The Italian film and television animation branch involves about 80 companies with more than 5,000 professionals and it is able to provide hundreds of hours of programmes per year.
