Rai Teche has been defined as Italy's largest cultural repository, featuring 4 million hours of audiovisual footage, representative of Italy's cultural and linguistic growth, from the birth of Radio in 1924 and then that of Television in 1954. As it is today, the Rai archive is already the result of a progressive stratification of decades of productions by a company that has always made culture.  Today, Rai Teche's task is far from that of preserving an archive; not even that of enriching it; but that of inserting it into a dialogue with the present and future generations.

Located in one of the oldest Rai Building in the centre of Turin, Rai Media Library offers open access to Rai complete audiovisual Archive: Tv and Radio Programmes, Photos, Tv Commercials, historical Rai Periodicals (Radiocorriere, Radio Orario, Annuari).

Consultation and research are accessible free-of-charge to everyone: teachers, tv and film professionals, students and ordinary citizens. Rai Media Library collects 10.000 books and 80 National and International Periodicals covering every aspect of Media, Advertising, Show Business and Journalism.
