Regione Piemonte is making a decisive push in the audiovisual and film sector: launching today, April 17, the new "Piemonte Film Tv Fund" 2026 call for applications, with a total budget of 7 million euros aimed at supporting businesses in the sector and attracting new productions to the region.
The measure falls under the Regional ERDF Programme 2021-2027 and represents one of the main tools through which Regione Piemonte supports business competitiveness and employment growth, through productive investment and innovation.
The Piemonte Film Tv Fund is designed to strengthen the entire audiovisual supply chain, supporting businesses in film, television and digital production and encouraging: the establishment of new businesses in the region, the consolidation of those already present, and the attraction of national and international productions, with the goal of generating tangible economic and employment benefits.
Grants will be awarded as non-repayable contributions, calculated on expenditure incurred in Piemonte, thus incentivising productions to invest directly in the region. There are two application windows:
from April 17 to May 15, 2026 (4 million euros)
from August 31 to October 2, 2026 (3 million euros)
25% of the funds are reserved for micro and small enterprises, to ensure broad access to the opportunities offered by the call.
"Seven million euros represent a concrete investment to strengthen a strategic supply chain for Piemonte," declare Marina Chiarelli, Councillor for Culture, and Andrea Tronzano, Councillor for the Budget. "The audiovisual sector today means industry, innovation and development: it means attracting productions, supporting businesses, generating skilled employment and creating value for local communities."
"With the Piemonte Film Tv Fund," they continue, "we are intervening in a structural way to consolidate a competitive ecosystem capable of engaging with national and international markets. This is how culture becomes an engine of growth and a lever for industrial policy, bringing together skills, businesses and territories. The Piemonte Film Tv Fund is part of a structured strategy aimed at making Piemonte a competitive hub at national and European level for the audiovisual sector. Through support for productive investment and innovative processes, the measure helps make the regional system more dynamic, attractive and capable of generating long-term value," conclude Marina Chiarelli and Andrea Tronzano.
