The third and final season of "The Law According to Lidia Poët" — filmed in Piemonte in the spring of 2025 with the support of Film Commission Torino Piemonte — is available from today, Wednesday April 15, exclusively on Netflix.
Italy's most irreverent and brilliant lawyer — a character loosely inspired by the historic Torinese attorney who lived between the 19th and 20th centuries — returns with the concluding chapter: the six episodes of the third and final season of "The Law According to Lidia Poët" are available exclusively on Netflix from April 15.
As in the two previous seasons, Torino will once again serve as the backdrop for the protagonist's new investigations. Numerous locations were used across the city and the wider region, thanks to the support of Film Commission Torino Piemonte.
Among the chosen locations is the façade of Palazzo Civico, which in the series becomes the exterior of the Hotel Regio. This is joined by Palazzo Lascaris, home of the Regional Council, whose interiors were transformed into the offices of the prosecutor's office — a role played in the first two seasons by Palazzo Cisterna, which was undergoing renovation works at the time of filming. Three key locations remain unchanged: Piazza Carignano, used as the exterior of the courthouse; the choir of the Chiesa di Santa Pelagia, transformed into a morgue; and Piazza Cavour, where the exterior of Lidia's home is located. Additional locations include La Mandria di Chivasso, the Castello di San Sebastiano Po, Villa Lascaris in Pianezza, and other sites in Avigliana, Sciolze and Mazzé. The municipalities outside Torino were involved in the shoot thanks to the Regional Network of Film Commission Torino Piemonte.
Many Piemontese professionals were part of the crew, including: Production Supervisor Daniele Morini, Chiara Moretti for Minor Roles Casting, Location Manager Cristina Vecchio, and Set Decorator Carlotta Desmann.
This season sees Matilda De Angelis return as the iconic lead of the series, produced by Matteo Rovere for Groenlandia, a company of the Banijay Group, and created by Guido Iuculano and Davide Orsini. Returning alongside her are Eduardo Scarpetta as journalist Jacopo Barberis, Pier Luigi Pasino as Enrico Poët, Sara Lazzaro as Enrico's wife, and Gianmarco Saurino as Pierluigi Fourneau. Joining the final season are Liliana Bottone and Ninni Bruschetta, as Grazia Fontana and Public Prosecutor Cantamessa respectively.
The third and final season of "The Law According to Lidia Poët" is written by Guido Iuculano and Davide Orsini. Direction is once again entrusted to Letizia Lamartire and Pippo Mezzapesa, joined this season by Jacopo Bonvicini.
This season brings the series to a close, after 18 episodes, more than 15 hours of total runtime, 48 total weeks of filming, 90 costumes made (30 per season), and 100 pieces of jewellery created across the 3 seasons.
Over the course of all three seasons, Netflix employed more than 600 cast and crew members, along with 2,700 additional extras and daily collaborators. Filming took place across 110 locations, primarily in Torino and the Piemonte region, 18 of which had never previously been used for audiovisual productions.
"The Law According to Lidia Poët" appeared in the Top 10 TV series in more than 50 countries and reached number one in 5 countries: Italy, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Ukraine. It remained in the Global Top 10 non-English language TV series for 6 weeks, and in the Italian Top 10 TV series for 8 weeks. Following the first season, local travel agencies created a selection of tours inspired by Lidia Poët, visiting locations from both the series and the real life of Italy's first female lawyer.
