Art Department Masterclass 2026 has just announced the first line-up of international experts who will take part in the World Building Masterclass to be held in Torino from June 12 to 17. Representing Italy will be Production Designer and Art Director Ludovica Ferrario. Registrations are open until Thursday April 30, 2026.
The first session of the international training programme Art Department Masterclass 2026, dedicated to art department professionals, will be held in Torino from June 12 to 17, 2026 — with the support of Creative Europe MEDIA and in collaboration with Film Commission Torino Piemonte.
The Torino session will specifically focus on: visual communication tools (mood boards, concept sketches, research reels); set construction vs. location shooting with sustainable materials; set decoration (colour, texture and fabrics); managing multicultural crews and international workflows; and brand building (agents, festivals and industry visibility).
The programme is aimed at experienced professionals working across all art department roles: production designers, art directors, set decorators, props masters, assistants and more. The key requirement for participation is a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in film, television, streaming or video games.
Applications must be submitted no later than Thursday April 30, 2026. Registration is available via THIS LINK.
The course will take place across two sessions:
- June 12–17 in Torino, Italy — focus: World Building
- November 5–10 in Vilnius, Lithuania — focus: Digital Post-production
The 20 selected participants will:
- Work independently on real film and television projects currently in development
- Develop a complete visual concept, guided by expert tutors
- Take part in direct discussions with renowned industry experts
In collaboration with partner institutions, each participant is assigned a real film or television project currently in development, for which they will create a complete visual concept.
