Available exclusively on Netflix from today is "Non abbiam bisogno di parole", the film marking the acting debut of Sarah Toscano, directed by Luca Ribuoli and featuring Serena Rossi.

Filmed in Piemonte over 5 weeks between May and June 2025 with the support of Film Commission Torino Piemonte and with the contribution of FESR Piemonte 2021-2027 — Piemonte Film TV Fund, under the patronage of the Città di Alessandria, Città di Torino and the Province of Alessandria"Non abbiam bisogno di parole" made use of several Torinese locations including Torino Porta Nuova railway station, the Istituto Primo Levi, the Teatro Regio, the Teatro Gobetti, the Chiesa di Santa Pelagia, as well as a number of municipalities across the region such as Camagna Monferrato, Rivalba, Alessandria and its province, all involved thanks to the Regional Network of Film Commission Torino Piemonte.

More than 60% of the crew on set were local professionals, including Emanuela Minoli, Location Manager; Rossella Tarantino, Production Manager; Luana Velliscig and Antonella Cirillo for casting; Marco Fiumara, sound recordist; Francesca Bocca, set designer; Mario Scarzella, set decorator; and Daniele Notarrigo, chief electrician.

The cast features, alongside Sarah Toscano in her acting debut, Emilio Insolera, Carola Insolera, Antonio Iorillo, Alessandro Parigi and Asia Corvino, with the participation of Serena Rossi.

"Non abbiam bisogno di parole" is a Netflix film produced by Mario Gianani, Lorenzo Mieli and Ludovica Rapisarda for Our Films, a company of the Mediawan group, and by Massimiliano Orfei, Luisa Borella and Davide Novelli for PiperFilm in collaboration with Lorenzo Gangarossa for Circle One, with the contribution of the Fondo per lo Sviluppo degli Investimenti nel Cinema e nell'Audiovisivo.

The film is based on "La Famille Bélier" (directed by Eric Lartigau and written by Victoria Bedos, Stanislas Carré de Malberg, Eric Lartigau and Thomas Bidegain, from an original idea by Victoria Bedos). The Italian adaptation was written by Luca Ribuoli with Cristiana Farina.

Synopsis:

Unlike her parents, Eletta (Sarah Toscano) can hear, and discovers she has an extraordinary voice. When her singing teacher (Serena Rossi) encourages her to audition for a prestigious music school, the dream becomes reality — but at a price: leaving behind her family, for whom she is the sole voice in the hearing world.
