Regione Piemonte is strengthening its role as a national and international audiovisual hub with a 12-million-euro investment to support film and audiovisual businesses. The Regional Council has approved the new "Piemonte Film TV Fund" measure for the 2026–2027 two-year period, under the PR FESR 2021–2027 programme. A strategic intervention aimed at consolidating the sector's growth, attracting new productions to the region and generating skilled employment, reinforcing an ecosystem that has already demonstrated strong development capacity in recent years.
"With this investment we want to make Piemonte increasingly competitive on the international audiovisual stage, concretely supporting businesses and creating new work and development opportunities for local communities. Cinema and the audiovisual sector are not just culture — they are also industry, innovation and identity," declare the President of the Regione Piemonte, Alberto Cirio, alongside Marina Chiarelli, Councillor for Culture, and Andrea Tronzano, Councillor for the Budget.
The measure is part of the regional strategy for SME competitiveness and provides non-repayable grants for the production of film, television and digital works, including serial and animation productions. Support can reach up to 400,000 euros per project, with particular attention to micro and small enterprises, for which a significant share of the resources is reserved.
The goal is twofold: on one hand, to support the production and growth of businesses already present in the region; on the other, to attract new investment and encourage the resettlement of production companies in the area, contributing to the development of the wider supply chain and the enhancement of regional infrastructure.
"Piemonte today is a true capital of cinema: we continue to invest in a system that brings together creativity, skills and production capacity. This measure is a further step in strengthening a supply chain that generates economic, employment and cultural value," conclude Cirio, Chiarelli and Tronzano.
With the new Piemonte Film TV Fund, the Regione Piemonte consolidates a clear vision: to make culture — and the audiovisual sector in particular — a concrete driver of growth, capable of uniting territory, businesses and new generations in an increasingly competitive and international system.
