3 years ago I was diagnosed with Leukaemia. Today, after 3 sessions of chemotherapy and a few months of care, I find myself in limbo between a possible return of the illness and a definitive recovery.
Punctually, the fear that an ominous result will make me have to start the whole procedure from the beginning, presents itself again. Luce Mia is my journey backwards into the illness: my story told through my facebook page during the chemotherapy crosses the solitude and hope of today's patients, in search of that moment when one stops being a patient and goes back to being a human being. The illness is not a conviction but, before everything else, it's a chance to look at oneself and what surrounds one in a different way.
This documentary will talk about illness as a path. As an engine for deep changes, it gives the time to think about ourselves and about our staying in the world.
This is the author's first documentary, and it could be considered as a way to rethink to his approach to life, still frightened, even after the birth of his first daughter. He's also the hope for the other patients of the hospital.
The exclusive access to characters and locations, as well as the inner point of view, guarantees the uniqness of the project.
A cinematographic approach will make us able to talk about a difficult issue in a sensitive way, that could reach a large audience.
From the productive point of view, we will try to gather together funds related to cinema and also to the humanitarian environment.
