Film Commission Torino Piemonte

Louis Nero Film, operating under the brand L’Altrofilm, is a cultural project and a film production and distribution company based in Turin, Italy, but active internationally.
Founded in 1998 by director Louis Nero, it focuses on producing and distributing auteur films (in cinemas, on DVD, and online), theatrical events, and gatherings aimed at creative exchange.

Alongside his work as a director, Louis Nero also works as a film producer. As a producer, he is constantly seeking new projects that explore and innovate within the cinematic language.
In addition to producing all of his own films as a director, he co-produced the acclaimed Ex-Drummer by Koen Mortier, winner of the Rotterdam and Rome Film Festivals; the Hungarian comedy Mario, the Magician; Davide Sordella’s debut Fratelli di Sangue starring Fabrizio Gifuni and Barbora Bobuľová; and Giorgio Arcelli’s first feature Principessa with Michele Riondino and Piera Degli Esposti.

In 2014, he produced the directorial debut of Diana Dell’Erba, Registe, a documentary about women in cinema featuring Maria de Medeiros, Lina Wertmüller, Francesca Archibugi, and Cinzia Th Torrini.
He also produced, in collaboration with RAI, The Man Who Drew God, directed by Franco Nero and starring Oscar winners Kevin Spacey and Faye Dunaway. The film was awarded the 2019 MIBAC selective grant and supported by the Piemonte Film Fund.

More recently, he produced Milarepa, starring Harvey Keitel, F. Murray Abraham, and Ángela Molina.
He is currently producing the directorial debut L’Ora di Tutti by Stefania Rocca.
