Deriva film is an independent Italian company that develops, produces and distributes documentaries, short and features films, concerts, television formats, tv programmes and contents for new media. Our portfolio includes tv programs that were aired on major tv networks and satellite channels. It also includes documentaries that were acclaimed by the national press and awarded in festivals, such as "Dérive Gallizio", which was awaded with a special mention from the jury of Turin Film Festival . Since its incorporation in 2002, Deriva film has: worked with set structures that already had editorial formats, such as the tv programmes “Geo & Geo” and “Storie Vere” aired on Rai3; adapted television formats, such as “Destination Serie”, from the French format aired on Canal+; created original programmes and tv formats, such as “Amori in Fiamme – Love in Flames”, a five-hour documentary series dedicated to famous couples of cinema, art, music and culture, from the ‘50s to the ‘70s. In 2006 the company produced for Fox International Channels “Scatti di nera” (Black Shoots), with the italian actor Michele Placido. It has also been specialized in the production of docu-fictions, such as “Casa Pappalardo”, aired on Rai 3, and the living-history series “I Campioni di Olimpia” (The Champions of Olimpia, 2004). In 2007 DERIVA FILM produced in collaboration with History Channel “The True Story of Marianne Golz” (2007), which was developed with the support of the Media Programme of the European Union. In 2008, it produced “Factory” - a documentary about workers aired on Rai 3 and “ThyssenKrupp Blues”, a docu-film showed at the 65^ International Film Festival of Venice. Recently, the company produced the documentary Radio Singer (2009) by Pietro Balla, supported by Piemonte Doc Film Fund and premiered at the 27. Torino Film Festival; the documentary Imam (The Imam) by Emmanuele Pinto (2009) developed with the support of the Media Programme of the European Community and produced with the support of Regione Campania; the documentary Donne (Born to be Kings) by Francesca Fini (2010). Now the company is producing the feature film "La vita incerta" developed with the support of MIBAC. DERIVA FILM constantly supplies Rai, La7, Canali Digitali, Rai Sat and Fox International Channels (Sky). The company has recently created ON THE DOCKS, an online international portal for independent films, documentaries and shorts.
